You're not just a dream to me anymore

I think I said this before: I'm not discerning when it comes to music. I listen to whatever is on radio or whatever people gives me.

In the past, Phillip gives me music. When I first got my car, he burned me 7 CDs from his own collection and these 7 CDs have accampanied my drives for the past 5 years. Now, my JB DVD uncle supplies my music. Whenever I see him, once a forthnight, he will drop CDs into my shopping basket with comments like, "You know who this is? You don't know? How can? Must listen! Very in now!"

Which accounts for the Pitbull, Far East Movement and Ne-Yo CDs in my car. Yes, PITBULL - I kid you not!

That said, there are just 2 singer/band in this entire world that I have elected, on my own, to listen to and I absolutely adore them. If there are no other songs in this world except their songs, I will be contented.

I have been listening to these particular 2 since I was in my early teens. Both of them are no longer active in the music scene today, but their songs are still playing in my car. In fact, I have all their albums - on cassettes (remember those?) and CDs - including their B-sides. And because I listen to them everyday in the past (and at least once a week now), I know the lyrics to all their songs - in various dialects. In short, I am what they call, a rabid fan.

And that's why I think God was smiling down from heaven at me the day he unexepectedly sent these two defunct singer/band to Singapore - 2 months apart from each other! I was literally squeling like a pig when I found out.

Hence, I am a couple hundred bucks poorer.

Toe, you have to sponsor my alcohol habit this month.

I simply can't wait! WOOT!
