Legendary Big Snake from the Mountain

I was reading a silly chick magazine article about what being a gentleman is all about, so I turn to The Man and asked whether he thinks he is a gentleman.

After a short pause, he replied that he is. Because he is always polite to ugly or fat women.

(I have to admit that is a good one!)

Anyway, as usual, he didn’t just stop there. He went on to sing a HOKKEIN song about a (supposed) gentleman (supposedly) courting a lady.

Man: (singing out of tune in Hokkein) ^^%$^&^*(&(*&^&%
Frou: Walao. What is that?
Man: It’s a song I learnt in the Army. It is about this gentleman and lady who are walking in the rain under a small umbrella. The man is singing to her.
Frou: What is the man saying?
Man: (sings out of tune in Hokkein again) ^^%$^&^*(&(*&^&%
Frou: Ah beng! I don’t understand Hokkein!
Man: Oh, he is saying to her, “Do not be afraid. My "little brother" is not the legendary big snake from the mountain”
Frou: HAHAHAHHA! Is he trying to bring her to the mountains to have his way with her?
Man: Well, yes but he is being a gentleman about it. He is politely assuring her that his “thing” is not very big so won’t hurt her.
Frou: Must be a Chinese man then.
Man: It’s in Hokkein loh!
