My computer is trying to tell me that I am going blind.

I know this because all of a sudden, the font of my Microsoft Office has, by itself, increase from size 10 to 12. And I don’t know how to turn it off! Every time I try to compose an email, the font size will automatically switch to 12.

I think my computer deems me one of those old gweezers who need to type with super large fonts. It may be right, I am seeing stars at work. Not the good kind of stars, though. I have covering for 2 absent colleagues, and on top of that, about 20 projects on my own to handle. Hello Superwoman!

On top of that, I have been suitably disturbed every night before bedtime. I have taken to watching a movie every night before I sleep so that I can ‘unwind and not think about work’ but my choice of movies the past few nights have been really bad.

So I caught AGORA last night, which is a historical movie about the religious war between Jews and Christians in Greece. Rachel Weisz plays the historical character, Hypnatia the Greek female philosopher. The ending scene was her being stripped naked and dragged into the agora by overzealous Christians proclaiming her to be a witch. While the rest were busy collecting for stones to, well, stone her to death, her ex-slave cum ardent admirer ‘helped’ her out by suffocating her to death first to spare her the agony of being stoned to death. That was the last image in my head before I fell asleep. Sweet.

The night before, I watched LOVELY BONES which is about a dead girl who was trying to find peace with her brutal rape and murder before crossing over to ‘the other side’. It was the kind of movie that leaves you feeling uneasy all over.

And then the other night, I caught GREENZONE which is about an American soldier who discovered that there are no weapons of mass destructions in Iraq, and that it is a lie created by the American Government to start the war. Machine guns shooting and people’s heads being blown off everywhere.

Lies! Deception! Blood! Rape! Murder! Mass prosecution!

Size 12 fonts!

Oh dear.

Knowing your monkey brain, maybe you should change your choice of movies before bedtime... Maybe something wholesome like "Alvin & The Chipmunks 2"???

Hahaha! I think watching SAW would give me less nightmare than high pitch chipmunk voices!!!
