Aunt Frou

The Sis sent me a cryptic message yesterday. Something about auntie duty and her son’s swimming lesson on Saturday morning.

Frou: I don’t understand.
Sis: The rule is, an adult has to accompany the baby in the water. You have to be that adult.
Frou: Am I finally an adult to you now?
Sis: Just for this case.
Frou: My nephew is 10 months old! I only learn to swim when I was 10 years old!
Sis: Get with the times please. There are babies younger than him at the pool.
Frou: Why can’t you do it yourself?
Sis: I have a flu and might pass it to the babies.
Frou: Why can’t The Brother In Law do it?
Sis: He has a flu too.
Frou: But I have climbing that day.
Sis: You won’t die from not climbing.
Frou: What exactly do I have to do again?
Sis: You go in the pool with my son and make sure his head is above the water at all times. Do whatever the instructor ask you to do. Do not, I repeat, do not drown him.
Frou: My, that’s huge responsibi….
Sis: And wear a bathing suit but make sure it is not revealing. Do not wear a bikini.
Frou: I don’t have anything else!
Sis: Wear board shorts with it at least.
Frou: I don’t have….
Sis: And do not, I repeat, do NOT flirt with Mark.
Frou: Who the heck is….
Sis: It will be too weird if you date my son’s swimming instructor.
Frou: I don’t even….
Sis: And there is this other angmoh toddler called Finn at the pool last week and he did better than my son. We cannot let it happen this week. We cannot lose to the angmohs.
Frou: Ok, let me summarize. You want me to give up climbing tomorrow to go into a pool full of pooping babies in a conservative swimsuit to make sure my nephew do not drown yet we have to make Finn look bad and then afterwards I must not go home with the instructor?
Sis: Something like that.
Frou: Fine. I’ll do it. Only because I love my nephew.
Sis: I will remind him when he grows up.
Frou: *punches fist to air* Finn is SO going down tomorrow!

(After swimming lesson)

Sis: Hellooo *makes baby cooing sounds* Did you have fun?
Frou: You asking him or me?
Sis: You.
Frou: Yeah, it was fun… hee hee.

I forgot to mention that Finn was looking mighty grumpy when we left the pool today. Success!

The swimming instructor looked quite hot. Did you really not go home with him? And red hot bikini? Whatever happened to conservative?
