A new chapter

I am finally on the last sentence reaching the end of the chapter.

Just a few more words to go. I can even see the full stop from this distance.

I have been reading this book for a long time. Maybe slightly longer than what I’d like. It was an easy read, hard to put down.

And because it was hard to put down, it drains all my physical and emotional reserves.

I begin to read each word very slowly now, pausing at every chance. I circle back to re-read the previous sentences just in case I misunderstood this one. I pretended I didn’t know the meaning to some of the words.

But there was no misunderstanding. And I do know what those words mean.

I also do know that when I finally register and let go of the last word, this chapter will come to an inevitable end.

Thereon I will move on to the next chapter. A new chapter. Without him.

I am strangely relieved.

Every chapter is a learning. New chapter brings new life, you never know, new author might revive the same hero with new sets of life. Enjoy it.

Let's make the next chapter a good one ya? Remember it affects us BOTH... :D

If I Could Tell You

Time will say nothing but I told you so,
Time only knows the price we have to pay;
If I could tell you I would let you know.

If we should weep when clowns put on their show,
If we should stumble when musicians play,
Time will say nothing but I told you so.

There are no fortunes to be told, although,
Because I love you more than I can say,
If I could tell you I would let you know.

The winds must come from somewhere when they blow,
There must be reasons why the leaves decay;
Time will say nothing but I told you so.

Perhaps the roses really want to grow,
The vision seriously intends to stay;
If I could tell you I would let you know.

Suppose all the lions get up and go,
And all the brooks and soldiers run away;
Will Time say nothing but I told you so?
If I could tell you I would let you know.
