I'm happy today because..

... my 4 year old nephew came and visit me for lunch.

  Well, he didn't come specifically to see me . There is a new dinosaur play-gym  that just opened downstairs from my office and the Sister brought him to check it out. After all, The Nephew is dinosaur crazy (for now). His favourite cartoon is Dinosaur Train - about a family of pteranadon who adopted a t-rex baby and they visit the other dinosaurs by a train conducted by a troodon. I have to know these details because The Sister made the the whole Frou Clan learn all the dinosaur species mentioned in the show in case the Nephew ask one of us about it.

Anyway, I met The Nephew at the play-gym and I was told that I needed to wear socks to get in. Socks! So The Sister bought me a pair of pink ones - with dinosaurs. I think I will let Toe have them cos she has a thing for pink socks.

Anyway, the minute The Nephew saw me, he shouted, "T-REX!!" I am ASSUMING he meant he wanted me to bring him inside to see a t-rex, and not that I look like one. He then grabbed a toy dinosaur egg from the play-gym shop and said he wants it. (What am I? Auntie Moneybags?) After forcing him to put the dinosaur egg back, he  disappeared into the play-gym - which by the way, is a complete rip off. They charge each kid $30 for 2 hours - and furthemore, my nephew has more toys at home then in the play-gym so I don't see what's the fascination. I suppose kids just want something "new" to play with, not something different... I think.

There is a cafe inside so me and The Sister had lunch there while keeping an eye on The Nephew. Lunch was horrible actually. They charged  $11 for a plate of rice with 5 very small and very thin slices of chicken and 2 stems of brocolli. Nonetheless, I enjoyed having alibaba lunch with The Sis - in my pink socks no less. Also, they were playing some jungle background music and it didn't feel like I'm at my office building. That's a good thing.



I had a 2pm meeting so I had to leave early. Before I left, I went back to the store and bought that dinosaur egg The Nephew wanted - because I am a sucker.

Anyway, it's nearly time for me to knock off work. I am heading over to Toe's tonight SPECIALLY to watch the last episode of "On the Fringe" (see previous blog post) together. We are going to have pizza, wine, cigarettes and a whole chocolate cake (I don't know why we are celebrating).

We are also going to play a game - guessing the ending of the show. Loser pays for the pizza. Toe's guess is that Li Nan Xing will end up with Rui En because Fann Wong died in a gruseome gang fight. My guess is that Li Nan Xing will end up with Fann Wong because Fann Wong rescued him from a gruesome gang fight and survived.

I'm so going to get free pizzas!
