Whenever he does that, she will throw him a dirty look and then walk the other way. Well, I used to sympathize with my dad when she does that. That was when I was young. Now that I am grown up, I think I finally understand how my mum felt.
We were at a drinks stall at the hawker centre.....
The Man: Uncle, give me a cup of Bandung please. (FYI. Bandung is a rose flavoured milk drink. Very Melayu. I don't know why he drinks that.)
Drinks Uncle: Ok
Man: Uncle, please don't give me that cup of Bandung over there. That one looks stale. I want a fresh cup please.
Uncle: Don't worry. That one is sample. For display only.
Man: Oh..
Uncle: (pours drink)
Man: Uncle, why do you use a cup of real Bandung as sample?
Uncle: ........
Man: If you have to use a real sample everyday, you waste a lot of Bandung. And a lot of cups.
Uncle: ........
Man: Why can't you just take a photograph of a cup of Bandung instead? You take one photograph, you can use it as display everyday. You don't need to waste any of your Bandung. You can sell one more cup. Right or not, Uncle? Hello? Uncle??
Uncle: ?????!!!
And the Frou walks the other way...
