Inertia

In physics, 'inertia' refers to the body's tendency to resist acceleration. That means, the body is incline to remain at rest or stay in existing straight line motion, until an external force acts on it and forces it to change.

Ahh, we are such creatures of habits. Lackadaisically dragging our feet along this dull & somniferous existence with the tenacity & enthusiasm of watching paint dry. Until someone or something comes along to kick us on our asses;
asking us to move faster,
move better,
move on.

Alert: "Bigger, better things out there!"

Move on. The clock is ticking.
Go on. There's no point in waiting.

Piggg...took me awhile to digest this post. But then suddenly this afternoon, I read it again and it was uncomfortably relevant. What if the someone or something that's supposed to come kick us on our asses never turns up? Or comes too late? What if the inertia is borne out of fear? Isn't fear supposed to warn us of danger? So fear isn't completely a bad thing is it? When does bravery turn into stupidity?

Wayward Pig, haven't I been the 'external force' kicking your ass into motion most of the time? :p

Anyway, I don't think you need to worry about who or what comes along to force you to change. There will be signs everywhere. Especially in the form of a lil voice inside your head that nags & nags & nags...
