The Carrot, Egg & Coffee Bean

What would happen when you place all three items in a pot of boiling water?

The Carrot, originally hard & crunchy, will turn soft & mushy.
The Egg, originally soft & fragile, will turn hard & bitter.
The Coffee Bean, originally small & insignificant, will turn the water aromatic & brown.

Imagine the boiling water represents seas of hard times; of turmoil & tribulation.

Will you be?

The Carrot – weaken & falls apart.
The Egg – cynical & resentful
The Coffee Bean – striving & influential

As the earnest Architect says, "Put the carrot in the soup first to sweeten it..."

After that, I cannot remember what happened.

I think I'd be the carrot. Weak and falling apart but still sweet... Hahahaha!

Yes, but anything left in boiling water for too long becomes insipid. The coffee bean turns the water brown, but loses all aroma and flavor it has.

and as we say in French

Cafe bouillu cafe foutu!

(boiled coffee, wasted coffee or something like that...)
