I remembered a play I watched before.
It was a work day but I called in sick. I was particularly lonely that day. So I drove to a local theatre and bought the next ticket.
I sat alone in the darkened room as the crowd poured in. I don't remember the plot, the actors or their songs. But I distinctively remembered just one scene.
When they turn out all the lights and shone the spotlight on his face; a blank emotionless face. He grimaced at the crowd and spoke,
"You'll think to yourself that
there will be someday when someone will love you.
But you know deep inside your
heart, things will never change."
And the curtain fell. I got up and left. And I drove home, in tears.
